Privacy Policy

This policy explains what MadDuckBet does with personal data. It's written in plain language rather than legal shorthand.

The short version: we never ask who you are, we don't hold a gambling account for you, and the only optional tracking on the site is analytics, which stays switched off until you say yes.

Who to contact about your data

MadDuckBet is run independently and is responsible for the data described on this page. For anything in this policy, including a request about your own data, use the contact page.

What we collect, why, and on what legal basis

Outbound click records. When you click through to a casino, we record which casino and bonus it was, the page you clicked from, your device type, the country you selected if you selected one, the campaign parameters in the address and the time. This is how commission is verified and how we see which comparisons are actually useful. It doesn't include your name, your email address or anything from a casino account. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating the site and being paid for it.

Analytics, only with your consent. If you accept analytics, we collect which pages and offers are viewed, how visitors move through the site, and basic technical details such as device type, browser and the approximate region derived from your IP address. Legal basis: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time using "Cookie preferences" in the footer of any page.

Your consent choice itself. We store what you chose and when, so that we don't ask again and can demonstrate that the choice was made. Legal basis: compliance with our obligations, and our legitimate interest in honouring your choice.

Messages you send us. If you contact us, we keep your message and whatever contact details you chose to include, for as long as it takes to deal with the matter and a reasonable period afterwards. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering you.

Server logs. Our hosting provider records requests to the site, including IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the site available and secure.

Choices kept only in your browser

The country you select and your consent choice are stored in your browser's own local storage. They stay on your device and aren't transmitted to us as personal data. The cookie policy lists exactly what is stored and why.

What we don't do

We never ask for your name, address, date of birth or payment details anywhere on this site. We don't sell personal data. We don't run advertising or remarketing tags. We don't build profiles about individuals, and nothing here makes automated decisions about you.

Who else processes it

To run the site we use service providers who process data on our behalf, under contract and on our instructions: a hosting provider, a database and backend provider, an analytics provider and an email provider. Some may process data outside the EU and EEA; where that happens it relies on the transfer safeguards in that provider's data processing agreement.

Casinos we link to are not our processors. Once you arrive on a casino's site you are their visitor, under their privacy policy.

How long we keep things

  • Outbound click records: 24 months, after which they're deleted or reduced to anonymous totals.
  • Analytics: 14 months.
  • Consent records: 24 months, or until you change your choice.
  • Messages: 24 months after the matter is closed.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us to confirm what we hold about you and give you a copy of it; correct it; delete it; restrict how we use it; stop using it where we rely on legitimate interest; hand it over in a portable form; and you can withdraw consent at any time, without that affecting anything that was lawful before you withdrew it.

Ask through the contact page. We'll answer within one month and tell you if we need longer. Because we hold no accounts and no identifiers for you, we may need you to describe the visit precisely enough for us to find anything at all, and in many cases there will be nothing linked to you to find.

If you think we've handled your data badly, you can complain to a data protection authority, normally the one in the country where you live.

Children

This site isn't for anyone under 18 and we don't knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, tell us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy we update this page. Where a change affects what you agreed to, we'll ask again rather than assume an old choice still covers it.
